PETRA STASTNA
Artist. Dancer. Choreographer. Designer.
Artist. Dancer. Choreographer. Designer.
For over three decades, Petra has lived through the language of flamenco — as a professional dancer, choreographer, and founder of her own flamenco academy established in 1998. Dance was never merely performance. It was discipline, presence, and identity.
In 2014, she moved to Andalusia and spent several formative years in Seville — immersed in its culture, tradition, and unapologetic beauty. It was there that her artistic expression began to evolve beyond movement.
Floral adornment had always been part of her world. In flamenco, flowers in the hair are not decoration; they are statement, confidence, and heritage. Their colours, intensity, and symbolism became inseparable from her personal aesthetic.
Inspired by the elegance of Spanish women — their strength, their sensuality, their quiet authority — Petra began creating floral headpieces as an extension of choreography itself. Each piece carried rhythm and restraint. Drama and balance.
Her designs were presented at Gran Soho Alameda in Seville, where contemporary design meets Andalusian craft. The Andalusian chapter of her artistic journey was later recognized in Diario de Sevilla, highlighting the cultural depth behind her work.
